Kevin J. Lockwood is a principal of Forshee & Lockwood, P.A. and a certified public accountant. He provides accounting, tax, and consulting services to high net worth individuals and to a wide variety of businesses including retailers, wholesale distributors, manufacturers, real estate agencies, property managers, venture capital groups, technology companies, bars and restaurants, and professional service organizations. His many years of experience began with work in the Tax Division of Arthur Andersen’s Miami office. He was promoted to Tax Manager in 1988 and became Director of State and Local Tax Services in 1989. While serving in this capacity, he handled a full load of Federal Tax clients.

Professional Highlights:

• Mr. Lockwood has prepared and supervised the preparation of individual, partnership, corporation, S corporation and fiduciary tax returns including income, estate and gift tax returns;

• represented clients on federal and state examinations resulting in either no change letters or in reversals of substantially all federal or state proposed changes;

• supervised numerous sophisticated federal and state tax planning projects including protest letters, requests for rulings, and favorable accounting method change requests. In addition, Mr. Lockwood supervised acquisition and disposition planning including purchase investigations and foreign and domestic individual income tax planning;

• served as Director of State and Local Tax Services and developed a full-service state and local tax consulting division which saved clients millions of dollars in state and local taxes.
