William H. Forshee is a principal of Forshee & Lockwood, P.A. and a certified public accountant. He began his career in the tax division of Arthur Andersen’s' Miami office shortly after obtaining his masters degree and was promoted to tax manager in 1990. Mr. Forshee provides accounting, tax and consulting services to high net worth individuals, trusts, and a variety of businesses, including retailers, wholesale distributors, manufacturers, land developers, contractors, real estate agencies, property managers, commercial rental activities, colleges and universities, venture capital groups, and professional service and not-for-profit organizations.
Professional Highlights:
• Mr. Forshee has represented clients in IRS examinations that resulted in either no change letters or in reversals of substantially all IRS proposed changes;
• provided tax research and consulting services and prepared and supervised the preparation of individual, partnership, corporate, S corporation, not-for-profit and fiduciary tax returns including income, estate and gift tax returns;
• organized and supervised numerous sophisticated tax and business planning activities for businesses and individuals including land cost allocation projections, favorable accounting method change requests, protest letters, tax reviews of partnership and limited liability company agreements, requests for determination letters, business acquisition and disposition planning, asset protection strategies, business workouts, forensic accounting, purchase investigations and income, estate and gift tax planning for foreign and domestic individuals;
• supervised numerous audit, review, compilation, outsource controllership and internal audit engagements in several industries.
